Madeline Hull

Madeline Hull, Editor In Chief Emeritus

Madeline Hull (@madelinehull_)  is a member of Class 2022. She enjoys photography, going for hikes with her dogs and spending time with her friends and family. Madeline loves to travel and see new places. Out of all the states Madeline has visited, North Carolina has the best hiking trails.

Madeline is the Vice President Membership for the National English Honor Society, Service Coordinator for National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society. She is an active member in the Environmental Club, Class of 2022 Student Council, Fashion Club, and Key Club.  

Madeline plans to go to St. Mary’s College of Maryland in Southern Maryland, to double major in Marine Science and Biology with a minor in Secondary Education.

Mrs. Jamie Hendi explained the Jewish game of Dreidel to those walking by her booth.

Josslyn Quansah represented Ghanaian culture by displaying traditional clothing and jewelry.

Junior Camryn Mackay used a pin to mark where her family is from. Student Government Association provided and displayed a map for students, staff and families to mark where their ancestors are from.

"The Spanish Honor Society wanted to be in this event [culture night] just to remind people of the importance of the Spanish culture. We made sure the poster-board has bright colors just to stand out," said Spanish Honor Society President Daniela Gerardi.

Deaf culture is the set of social beliefs, behaviors, art, literary traditions, history, values, and shared institutions of communities that are influenced by deafness and which use sign languages as the main means of communication.

The National English Honor Society's booth showcased everyone's culture by writing poems about "Where I'm From".

Sierra Howell showcased her culture by singing "Me and Bobby McGee" by Janis Joplin. In 1969, Producer Fred Foster invented a road song story about a pair of travelers who drifted apart. In Joplin's version, she switched the genders and made Bobby a man.

The five distinguished graduates and the selected speakers from the class of 2025 gather to take a picture with their pins and plaques.

Quick Snack Break! Dairy Goats need to eat too. Dairy goats need a year-round supply of roughage, such as pasture, browse or well-cured hay.

Jaxson (standing up) is a 3 day old Bull weighing at 70 lbs. Vivian (laying down) weighing at 58 lbs is a Heifer. Ginger, Caramel and Iris (all heifer) have gone home. The Birthing Center located at the Frederick Fair featured Cows, Horses, Lambs and Goats.

What comes to mind when you think of Homecoming? For the Linganore and New Market Community they think of long lasting traditions, memories and family. The Senior Class of 2022 is next to leave the Linganore nest. Waving to friends and family during their last Homecoming Parade, Ellie Breidenstein, Maeve Smarick and Emma Watkins find it all bittersweet, " I remember as a Freshmen everyone would tell us High School would fly by, I never believed them until now. Linganore will always hold a special place in my heart, it'll be hard to leave the day of Graduation but I know I will always have a home here and for that I'm grateful. " said Breidenstein.

To end the week, band students attend the Friday night football games to perform the national anthem and halftime show. The band adds to the excitement and enthusiasm of the student section by playing each time the team scores a touchdown. “Football games have always been one of my favorite events that the marching band participates in. I love the atmosphere of the crowd, and being able to have fun with my friends and play music in that kind of setting,” said McCoy.
