On May 27, Linganore High School held their 63rd annual Commencement ceremony, better known as graduation for the class of 2025. The event took place at the Knott Arena at Mount St. Mary’s University. Despite the rain outside pouring on people as they arrived, the graduates were still as excited as possible for the event. To the music played by Linganore’s graduation band, over 400 seniors entered the arena to be recognized as Lancers one final time. In addition to honoring the seniors graduating, Principal Dr. Michael Dillman honored Linganore Band Director Mr. Kevin Lloyd, who is leaving with the class of 2025 after 30 years at Linganore. The attendees in the arena heard speeches from many, including the Superintendent of FCPS Dr. Cheryl Dyson, Board of Education member Jaime Brennan, whose son was among Linganore’s graduating class, and Dr. Dillman. The once seniors left the arena as high school graduates and despite the rainy weather they walked out to, nothing could kill their spirits. Congratulations to the Linganore Class of 2025! You will be missed, but your legacy will carry on!
