On April 26, seven members of the Class of 2018 celebrated their senior night for the girls lacrosse season. The ceremony was held before the winning game against Brunswick.

Jay Sedgwick, the team’s game announcer and player Emily Sedgwick’s father, announced the senior and her escorts.

The seven seniors include: Bridget Murphy (goalie), Adriana D’Amore (midfield), Lily Eisenhart (attack), Madison Spitale (defense), Anna Young (defense), Shea Stewart (midfield) and Hannah Lemen (attack).

The team manager, Rachel Weltman, is also a senior, but she is injured and was unable to play this year. Weltman was recognized for her support and dedication to the team.

“My favorite part about senior night was seeing all the lacrosse girls come together and work so hard with the parents to make our night so special,” said Madison Spitale. The night was bittersweet for the athletes.

There are bright futures ahead for all of the players.

Along with the celebration of senior night, the varsity team celebrated a 20-15 win against the Railroaders.
This puts the team at a 7-4 record, with  game remaining, May 1 against Manchester Valley, before playoffs start.
