Fifty-one seniors are framed on Main Street with photos and stories about their many destinations next year–including colleges as far away as Toronto and as close at Hood.  All of them posed inside a frame for the Lancer Media LHSsees2020 campaign.

Any senior who participated was eligible to win  two Vans Warped Tour tickets for the performances on July 16 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Elizabeth Coletti, who will be attending Towson next year on a full-ride soccer scholarship, won the drawing.

She was surprised but pleased and decided to share her prize with seniors Greg Thompson and Tony Komara. Tony was featured in The Lance Senior Destinations. His plans include Auburn University. Greg will be attending University of Maryland.

The tickets were donated by Moxie, a marketing company.

Vans Warped Tour is billed as “America’s premier music and lifestyle festival of the summer.”  Headliners this year include, “Falling In Reverse, Good Charlotte, Less Than Jake, NewFound Glory, Sum 41, Yellowcard and Sleeping With Sirens, among others. Popular Songs from some of the returning bands include “My Friends Over You,” by New Found Glory, “Ocean Avenue,” “Only One,” and “Way Away,” by Yellowcard, and “The Science of Selling Yourself Short,” by Less Than Jake. Besides highlighting some bands from the early 2000s that started with the tour, this year will also showcase some up-and-coming artists including State Champs, Like Pacific, and Hearts Wake, to name a few. In addition, there will now be 2 Monster Energy stages in an area called the “Monster Energy Party Zone” to incorporate more heavy metal bands.
