Matthew Gelhard (@GelhardMatthew) is a third year journalist student and is a part of the Class of 2019. Matthew volunteers in many areas of the Mount Airy and New Market communities in his free time. He has played baseball since he was 4 years old and has a in depth knowledge for the game. Matthew looks forward to continuing his athletic career in college. He is very sociable with a great curiosity about people and the world around him. Matthew wants to pursue broadcasting journalism or Sports Medicine in college. He looks forward to keep contributing to The Lance.
