To some, Thanksgiving is a time where family comes together, celebrating one of their rare opportunities to get together. To others, Thanksgiving is not always a joyous occasion; it is a holiday that forces some to reflect on the family, friends or things they do not have.
While she does not ignore the struggle that Thanksgiving might present to some, Kayana Guerra, owner of KayteringbyKay, believes that aside from family, one thing she will always be grateful for is food.
In this light-hearted video, baker and chef Guerra takes viewers on a fun experience while she bakes pies.
Along with Lancer Media reporter Daniel Apau she attempts to answer the ultimate question: which pie is better suited for the Thanksgiving season, pumpkin or sweet potato?
According to NPR, this on-going debate has been around since the 15th century “when European settlers brought sweet potatoes and pumpkins back to Europe from the Americas” and has yet to be settled. There are people who may argue their preference based on nutritional value, while others may argue their choice based solely off their taste preference.
To figure out how Lancer Media settles this question, see the video.
