On March 12, members of the junior class gathered to make decorations for prom, which is just two months away on May 11 at the Clarion Inn in Frederick. This year’s prom theme is “Once Upon A Dream.”

The goal for the decorations is to emulate the elegant, crystal ball feeling of Cinderella’s castle. The volunteers worked on centerpieces made of tall vases with thin, silver wire, fairy lights, and clear ornaments. Although simple, the hope is that they will add an element of elegance to the tables.

“I think the decorations are turning out really good so far. They’re simple and classy, and I think it’s going to look nice at prom,” said Class of 2020 Historian Taylor Ferguson.

The junior class will be working throughout March and April to prepare for prom, including gossamer lighted panels that will surround the room.

Tickets will be sold from April 3 to May 3 for $35. If you plan to bring a guest to prom, forms can be found in Student Services and are due by Monday, May 6.

If you are interested in helping with prom preparations or have any questions, talk to Ms. Larson in Student Services, or any of the Class of 2020 Council members. The group will work again on March 31.
