The 2017-2018 varsity girls lacrosse team has 21 players, including six seniors. The JV girls lacrosse team has 17 players. Tryouts took place March 1 and 2. The work toward a successful season begins.

With new coaches for both JV and varsity, the girls will be learning new approaches and playing styles.

Senior Adriana D’Amore, said, “I am looking forward to playing with all of my friends for the last time.”  D’Amore has committed to playing lacrosse at UMBC.

The new Varsity coach, Brooke Wilson, has 11 years of experience and three years of coaching experience. She played lacrosse for the University of Richmond. Wilson is looking forward to being a part of the Linganore family.

Last season, the varsity team had two wins and 11 losses and, unfortunately, lost to Middletown in playoffs.

There will be a day of scrimmages at Oakdale High School on March 10, both varsity and JV will have three games.

They will scrimmage Clarksburg High School on March 17 at home. Varsity will play at 10:00 AM and JV will play at 11:30 AM.

Come out and support the Lady Lancers at the first official game on March 21 at home against South Carroll High School. Good luck this season ladies!
