Don’t miss Amelia Draper on February 28th: Photo of the Day 2/13/18

From February 13 through the 16, sign ups will be held in the cafeteria to attend Amelia Draper’s speech during PREP on Februry 28th. If you would like to listen to how she became a meteorologist, sign up in the cafeteria or use the QR code found on the posters around the school.

Amelia Draper is a meterologist with NBC News 4. She is a graduate of Middletown High school and Penn State University. She is an emmy award winner and spoke at Frederick Community College. On February 28, Draper will be speaking in the auditorium during PREP about how she became a meteorologist. She started in  Erie, Pennsylvania and then joined the morning shift in Buffalo. Draper took the opportunity to move closer to family when asked to join the NBC News 4 weather team.

The event is put together by Mrs. Christine Cline and Assistant Principal Chris Bittner as a way to provide an opportunity for the students to learn more about careers.

Cline said, “I saw she spoke at Frederick Community College and I thought she would be a great speaker and role model for all the students.”
