On October 2, the field hockey team had their traditional senior night and played against TJ.

Varsity had a great win with a score of 7-1, while the JV lost with a score of 0-1.

There are five seniors on the team are counting the days to graduation on May 30, 2018.

The seniors who were celebrated are Allison King, Anna Smarrelli, Jordan Specht, Kaycee Morris, and Mallory Safsten.

Allison King plans to go to Duquesne University to study for a science-related career.

King said, “My favorite memory is showing up to a Saturday morning practice and seeing Alyssa Danner fall out of Anna’s van to the ground.”

Anna Smarrelli will be continuing her field hockey career at Appalachian State and will be studying speech pathology.

Smarrelli said, “My favorite memory was when Shannon Coggins finally got the ball and ran with it down the field–going the wrong way.”

Jordan Specht will be going to Hood College to further her softball career and will be studying biochemistry.

Specht said, “My favorite memory is when I got to play on the field for the first time, since I am a goalie.”

Kaycee Morris plans to attend Wilson College and study veterinary science.

Morris said, “My favorite memory is getting on the bus with the girls after a great win and celebrating.”

Mallory Safsten said, “My favorite memory is when we beat Oakdale.”

Specht and Safsten are both goalies. Smarrelli plays midfield and King and Morris both are defensive players.
