Underclassman photos took place September 12 an 13. In addition to students having their picture taken for the yearbook, they also received their student IDs freshly printed during their photo session.

Jen, one of the photographers, had some advice for students getting their picture taken. “Brushing your hair” was the first thing she mentioned, as well as patting your face with a towel–or something similar–if you’re wearing an oil based makeup.

The reason for patting down your face is because the oil shines in the light, which is why a few students here and there ask why their face is shiny. Smiling, good posture, and not doing any poses helps speed things along as well, and makes for a better picture.

Gerald Fattah said, “Don’t blink.”

Victor O’Neil Studios, the company that makes the yearbook, photographs students in “just over 100 high schools and a few other middle and elementary schools.”  Each photographer, on average, takes around 275 pictures of students per picture day.

The make up day for underclassman photos is October 17.  The makeup day for senior photos is October 18. Underclassman students who missed the chance to order their picture with the order form can purchase their photo online.
