NEHS receives letters from first grade: Photo of the Day 4/1/16
First graders from Centerville Elementary wrote letters to the NEHS.
The National English Honor Society has pen pals from Mrs. Beverly Lloyd’s first grade class at Centerville Elementary. This is the third year that the NEHS has done this project and it is in an effort to improve the first graders’ writing with the help of a pen pal.
Senior Harper Lindsay in charge of the pen pal program. The NEHS wrote the initial letter to the pen pals and received one back April 1, 2016. They will exchange letters again three more times and then meet their “pals” in person in May.
The first letter was “All About Me.” The second letter is “Favorites.” Third is “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and the last one is “What you like to do in your free time?”
If you would like to find out more about the NEHS visit the site or contact the advisor; Mrs. Natalie Rebetsky.
