Gallery: Delaplaine Visual Arts Center Bettie Award finalists
Congratulations to Aprilynn Slifker, Michelle Gass, Jeweliana Hendrickson, and Megan Werner! These four Lancers have made both the art department and their bank accounts proud, as they have been announced as four of the ten finalists for the Delaplaine Bettie Award. As finalists, they have each been awarded $100, but are in the running to win $1,000. Their work will be on display at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick throughout the month of March. Come support them at the opening reception for their work on March 5 at 3:00 p.m.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
