Seniors celebrate yearbooks at annual picnic: Photo of the Day 5/15/2015
Seniors sign yearbooks at the picnic.
School’s almost out for summer. On Friday, the seniors filed down to the stadium to eat good food and hang out with their class at the picnic, courtesy of the senior class and parent volunteers. The highlight was the distribution of yearbooks.
In addition to pork sandwiches from Carterque Barbeque and Grilling Co., the 12th graders were served a variety of salads, fruits, and chips. For dessert, an abundance of brownies, cookies, and cakes were available. Most of the food was donated by parent volunteers.
Most students sat in the bleachers enjoying their food and signing each others yearbooks, while others played football on the field.
“It was nice to see our entire class together bonding and reminiscing our four years worth of memories,” said senior Mariah Wilson.
As the picnic wound down, the seniors hugged, took pictures, and mentally checked off another milestone toward graduation.
The bell rang, signifying the end of the school day and only six days left for seniors
