The cast and crew of Elephant and Piggie’s We are in a play have been rehearsing since September and their hard work is finally paying off. After multiple days after and an entire week of practically “living” at the school until 8:30 at night, opening night is finally here.

Opening night is tonight, November 13th at 7:00 p.m.  The show continues with 2:00 p.m. matinees on the 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd. Tickets are available for $6.00 (kids) and $8.00 (adults) each on the LHS drama and dance website

Tickets will also be on sale before the show.

In conjunction with the show, drama is holding a children’s book drive until November 22nd. Bring in your new or gently used children’s books to the donation box in the front office, or to the donation box at showings of Elephant and Piggie: We Are In a Play!  All books will go to the Maryland Book Bank in Baltimore.

On Thursday November 12th, drama performed their production of Elephant and Piggie: We Are in a Play! for several Maryland elementary schools, including more distant Whittier and  Elmer A. Wolfe Elementary Schools.

Cast and crew were thrilled to see how the children reacted and were overall pleased with how smoothly the show ran.

“I think it went really well. The kids were so into it and interactive. They really reacted well to everything and were clearly enjoying it. The sound effects and acting were also really good,’ said run crew member, Martha Madrid.

Come out and support lhs drama by seeing Elephant and Piggie. Also, bring a children’s book to donate!
