On May 4, the marching band made its way through the hallways down to Mr. Tony Miller’s room with a big surprise. Deputy Superintendent Dr. Michael Markoe presented Tony Miller with the Charles. E. Tressler Distinguished Teacher Award.

Principal Dave Kehne said,  “It is most fitting to honor Mr. Miller.”

Markoe made a speech commending Miller’s achievements as he was presenting him with the award.

Miller was dumbfounded and speechless.  His wife, camera crews and the field hockey team all stood by and enjoyed the excitement of the surprise.

Frederick County Public schools mentioned Mr. Miller on their website. You can read about it here.
