Gaping arm wounds,  bleeding head injuries, and students with large bruises on their cheeks. These frightening injuries are all made possible by special effects makeup from the drama department.

On October 28, with the help of Ben Nye makeup, Mr. Julian Lazarus’s Intro to Drama class created compound fractures and impalements through the head. Throughout this week, drama students have learned the basics of special effects makeup, which has terrified and amused their friends and family.

Presley Dougherty said, “My trypophobia (fear of holes) inducing hand looked so realistic that everyone wanted to touch it! I can’t wait to try out more makeup techniques to scare my friends.”

Check out the slideshow below to see some of the creepy makeup that Intro to Drama has created this week.
