On the last two days before spring break — Tuesday and Wednesday – students in Mrs. Samantha Servey’s class are constructing miniature Hunger Games arenas as part of an in-class competition and the culminating activity for a unit in English.
Students must include three distinct landscapes within their arenas: the landscapes must have sources of food and water, “muttations,” characters, weapons and the golden Cornucopia. Students must also consider various climates and fauna in their arenas.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Linganore High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase camera/recording equipment and software. We hope to raise enough money to re-start a monthly printed issue of our paper.
