Photo of the Day 11/24/14: Key Club serves Kiwanis Pancake breakfast

Key Club pancake breakfast volunteers
The annual Kiwanis pancake breakfast was held on Saturday, November 22 at Calvary Methodist Church in Mount Airy. Members of the Linganore chapter of Key Club helped out in the kitchen, manned the drinks, helped clean tables, and served food and drinks for people. There were 22 Key Club members who volunteered their time.
Key Club member senior Elise Duda said, “It was really fun. I do the pancake breakfast with the Key Club every year and it has never not been fun. It’s nice whenever so many people from the club volunteer because volunteering is always better to do with friends.”
While 22 volunteers seems like a crowd, the crowd at the breakfast was bigger. One member estimates that more than 200 breakfasts were served. The Key Club is the high school “arm” of the Kiwanis Club.
