“Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down…”

One of the eight contestants for the crown, Devin Barge is portraying The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His dance partner and escort is Sophia Posada. His manager is Hannah Lemen.

“I wanted to be The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air because Will Smith is my favorite actor of all time. The Fresh Prince is my favorite of Smith’s on-screen performances,” said Barge.

Barge is most excited for the show so he can showcase all of the hard work that went into the performance.

“I wanted to Mr. Linganore because last year’s contestant Spencer Young suggested that I do it. I thought it would be a lot of fun to do,” said Barge.

He is a member of the varsity soccer team, National English Honor Society, is a Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Lance and a leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

With Jason Byrd, Barge helped to start the student focus group that meets to discuss culture and diversity.

Outside of school, Barge enjoys going to youth groups at Church of the Redeemer in Frederick and eating free donuts from Krispy Kreme.

He plans to go to Mount St. Mary’s University to study computer science.

“I think that I will win Mr. Linganore because of my determination to stand out,” said Barge.
