The 18th Annual Mr. Linganore contest “It’s a Royal Affair” will be on March 4 at 7:00 p.m. Lancer Media is covering each of the contestants leading up to the big day.

One of the 12 contestants for the crown, Harry Rasmussen is portraying Mufasa, from Disney’s The Lion King.  He will be escorted by Marin Sheehy.

“I wanted to be Mufasa because he’s a lion, and lions are the best animal,” said Rasmussen.

He has experienced the Mr. Linganore competition before, helping Chris Brown, Thomas Lang, and Noah Garabedian in their talents last year. He believes this will give him an upper hand over the other contestants because he had experience in front of large crowds.

“Mr. Linganore, I think, is a big tradition here, and, after helping out with the past competitions, I knew how much fun it would be to be involved fully,” said Rasmussen.

His favorite parts have been the dance practices and working on his talent. He believes the hardest parts will be remembering the dances and the question/answer part of the competition.

“I’m most excited to see how my talents turns out and to see what the other contestants perform, too,” said Rasmussen.

He is a member of the Varsity golf, basketball, and tennis teams. He is involved in SGA, NHS, and Class of 2017. During the past football season, he was also the chief of the Tribe.

Rasmussen plans on majoring in biology in college.
