A small group of seniors met with  Frederick County Public Schools superintendent, Dr. Theresa Alban to discuss how their education has been as an FCPS student. Dr. Alban conducts these sessions at all of the high schools in advance of graduation. She wants to know what areas the students are involved in, and what they liked, and what they thought needed improvement.

Many students were happy to voice their opinions, not only about Linganore, but FCPS in general. The students were cooperative and said whatever came to mind.

Senior, Noami Conaway said, “Her speech/talk with us helped to realize the reasons for some of our hard times faced throughout high school and how we can look forward to the future with a positive mindset.”

“I feel at ease that she cares [Dr. Alban], rather than just seeing her as a figure that I’m not sure I knew at all before. I got to tell someone who cared. That’s what mattered,” said Conaway

Ethan Riegel had some thoughts on what he thought FCPS/Linganore excelled at. Riegel said, “In my experience Linganore High School in FCPS in a whole excels when it comes to its high quality teachers and extracurricular activities.”

Seniors are leaving Linganore in less than a month, and with their feed back FCPS and maybe even Linganore can become something better than it already is.
