With prom less than a month away, students are scrambling to make arrangements regarding everything from apparel to transportation. One of the biggest arrangements on the minds of both girls and boys is who to go with. Some people choose to go with a large group of friends, others don’t mind simply riding solo for the night. But those who choose to go with a date have even more to take into consideration: How will I ask or be asked?

When a classmate snatched senior Sydney Garwood’s cellphone after second period on Friday, March 27th, she chased after it not knowing that she was being led to her prom date.

“I was surprised! I had no idea how or when he was going to ask,” Garwood said. S

he found senior Cole Sible on Main Street with a poster that read “Roses are red, violets are blue. Prom would be amazing if I went with you!” Sible’s promposal was cleverly complete with a bouquet of roses, which were red, of course.

“I wanted to do something that she would like and where people would see it,” Sible said.

Luckily for him, both of those goals were achieved. However, Sible wasn’t able to prompose in his ideal location. “I wanted to do it in the auditorium, but some days the doors are unlocked and other days they aren’t. I didn’t want to take the chance of them being locked.”

Garwood is looking forward to dressing up for the big night, which is sure to be amazing for both her and Sible.
