Poll: Snowboard Slopestyle (Men’s) is top new Olympic event

Lancer Media’s poll focused on the 12 new events that were added for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. These 12 events make a total of 98 Olympic events.

The results of the poll were incredibly varied. The top two answer choices were only two votes apart, with “Snowboard Slopestyle (Men’s)”  having 48 votes (14%) and “Figure Skating Team Event (Mixed)” having 46 votes (13%).

The rest of the results were as follows:

Snowboard Slopestyle (Women’s)- 33 votes (10%)
Ski Jumping (Women’s)- 33 votes  (10%)
Biathalon Relay (Mixed)- 26 votes (8%)
Ski Halfpipe (Women’s)- 25 votes (7%)
Ski Slopestyle (Men’s)- 25 votes (7%)
Ski Halfpipe (Men’s)- 23 votes (7%)
Ski Slopestyle (Women’s)- 20 votes (6%)
Luge Team Relay (Mixed)- 18 votes (5%)
I don’t watch the Olympics- 18 votes (5%)
Snowboard Parallel Slalom (Men’s)- 17 votes (5%)
Snowboard Parallel Slalom (Women’s)- 13 votes (4%)

The USA ended up with a total of 28 medals at the conclusion of the Olympics.
