LHSsees2020: Thomas Lang is ready to Ram his way into higher education
Thomas Lang is ready to forgo the red and black of the Lancers for the blue and gold of the Shepherd University Rams.
Shepherd University, located in scenic West Virginia, about a half-hour away from Harper’s Ferry, has been Lang’s choice “for a while now.”
“It’s a beautiful campus, up in West Virginia, surrounded by mountains, and it has the major I want, so it’s a perfect fit,” said Lang. He will major in physical education and has signed on to play for the school’s basketball team.
Aside from athletics and his studies, Lang hopes to meet new people and enjoy the college experience. He will be rooming with fellow Lancer Jack Staub, who will be attending Shepherd to play for the university’s football team.
Despite being excited to get his higher education, Lang has expressed a sense of nostalgia looking back at his time in high school. “I’ll miss my friends and teachers and the community here at school,” he said.
