Victoria Benson, Adviser
Ms. Benson is taking over the helm of Lancer Media and is eager to work with LHS journalists this school year. She got her start in journalism in high school as part of the inaugural staff of Dawson School’s The Mirror. She continued her pursuit of Journalism as a minor at Hood College, where she also served as the newspaper’s editor-in-chief.
She maintains a close connection to her alma mater as a member of the Alumni Executive Board. She earned an M.S. in Education at Hood College and an M.A. in Teaching at Mount St. Mary’s.
You might pick up a bit of an accent when Ms. Benson speaks, as she hails from the states of Wisconsin and Colorado. It is no surprise that she loves reading; she prefers sci-fi and fantasy. Being accident prone, Ms. Benson is a master on crutches and a frequent flyer in her physical therapy office.
