Varsity hits their stunts at Regionals.

by Grace Gaydosh, Managing Editor

On November 3, varsity cheerleading took fifth place overall for the 3a/4a at Regionals at Harford Community College. They previously placed first at all three of their competitions, most importantly, at the county competition.

In the regional contest, they scored 119.25 with a .75 deduction. This was not their highest score.

“I think nerves, unfortunately, got the best of us on Saturday which made us not hit our routine to the best of our ability. We just need to shake it off and come back stronger at states. We all start back at zero so it’s anyone’s game,” said head Varsity Coach, Amy Rumburg.

The girls are mentally preparing for States. They know their routine, and they know they can hit it. The state contest, however, is a big stage.

“I believe this team will step up and make it happen,” said Rumburg.

Senior Aly Bindel said, “We are all keeping positive attitudes at our last practices before States.”
