On September 20 the JV football team defeated the Patriots of Thomas Johnson High School, 48-0. With a great offense and a strong defense, the Lancers soared to a crushing victory.

Sophomore quarterback Ethan Thompson led his team to a win with two passing touchdowns to Carson Ridgeway. Thompson, who also kicks for the team, made six field goals and only missed one. Jacob Mcentire and Josh Little also contributed to the victory with touchdowns of their own.

On defense, the Lancers played tough throughout the whole 60 minutes. Throughout the entire game, they denied their opponents from getting into the endzone. An interception from Zach Keisling in the third quarter helped to solidify the team’s win.

The JV football team has been working extremely hard in practice and their effort showed last night on the field. “The team worked very hard on both sides of the ball. Our hard work in practice paid off.” Said sophomore guard Colby Reid.

After the big win on Thursday night, the JV football team improved their record to 2-1. Next week the Lancers square off against Walkersville High School at home on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:00.
