Many Lancers went to get their coffee on September 29,  also known as National Coffee Day. Dunkin Donuts was a hot spot for the day as people filtered in and out buying their coffee for a “buy one get one free” deal.

Senior Cooper Fabray said,, “When I’m tired in the morning it gets me energized for the day ahead.”

In other news, Dunkin’ Donuts is changing their name to just Dunkin.’ This will be official in January 2019.

Sophomore Valerie McNeill’s favorite coffee is “caramel iced coffee, because it tastes awesome and makes my rough mornings a little bit better.”

According to research, 64% of Americans drink at least a cup of coffee each day.

Natalie Hartmark arrived a Dunkin Donutes with McNeill. She ordered a coffee as well. “I don’t really like coffee, but since it was National Coffee Day I felt like I had to get my go-to French vanilla iced coffee.”

Did you know that there are also many health benefits of drinking coffee? According to Caffiene Informer,  coffee helps limit the chance of develooping many common ailments, for example Alzheimers, depressions, and Type 2 diabetes. Just don’t drink too much after finding out these facts!

With the seasons turning, Lancers are beginning to get their hot coffees and hot chocolates to warm up for the fall and winter. Iced coffee is still a staple for any season though. Coffee is part of many people’s morning routine and good way to start the day!
