On November 7, the National English Honor Society held their annual game night in the media center. This was their first official event of the year after the induction ceremony in October.  At this event, they played board games like Apples to Apples, Ticket to Ride, Monopoly and Hedbanz, ate food, and won prizes.

Brenna Lindsay, the corresponding secretary for NEHS organized the event. She also made a Kahoot game. Jack DuBro won the game and a $10 iTunes card.

Brenna Lindsay said, “Game night went smoothly, and I couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic group of people. We played board games, an online game of Kahoot, and ate lots of snacks! There were several prizes given out throughout the night. Overall it was a great success!”

Some of the games they played were Ticket to Ride, Apples to Apples, Monopoly, and Hedbanz.

In addition to the Kahoot game prize, there was also a prize drawing. Mallory Safsten won a $10 Chick-Fil-A gift card; Olivia King and Hannah Haught won $10 i Tunes gift cards.

Their next event is Christmas tree decorating for the Kennedy Krieger Festival of Trees.  Next week during PREP, they will be making Christmas ornaments out of old books with the help of Mrs. Mary Ellen Newcomb.

All events are open to anyone who would like to attend. Contact adviser Mrs. Natalie Rebetsky with questions.
