Since the end of the 2015-2016 school year, Mr. Kevin Lloyd and his marching band students have been getting ready to present a show that is “to die for.” This year’s Twilight Zone theme centers around the mysterious occurrences at the Hollywood Hotel, where, during a thunderstorm, wealthy guests are in for a spooky surprise.

The original music from the Twilight Zone television series (aired in the early 60’s) will be featured in parts of the show. This will also be the first time the band uses a prop in their show. This larger-than-life elevator prop is being constructed by parents Ken Doyle, Dale Palmer, Theresa King, Phil Gamble and Lloyd.

With the Disneyland Tower of Terror attraction officially closing this January, the band hopes to pay tribute to the classic ride.

“All I can do is my best, and if everyone else is giving their best then it will definitely turn out great,” said Class of 2020 Jack Maerten, a trumpet player.

The band will be performing at their first home football halftime show on Friday September 16 against Middletown and will compete in their first competition at Liberty High School (Carroll County) on Saturday September 17.
