On Tuesday, December 22, 2015 five second grade classes from New Market Elementary School came to Linganore for the annual Santa’s Workshop.

Every year Mr. Tom Hawthorne and Beachy set up at least five stations and invite a few second grade classes to visit. First, the visitors go to a Christmas band concert directed by Mr. Kevin
Lloyd. Then Hawthorne leads the children into the auxiliary gym for the stations.

The workshop has a face painting station, a Fruitloop necklace making station, the Orange Express, and other crafts.

At another station, Hawthorne’s classes made gingerbread houses. The second graders voted on the house they like the most.

All the children were very excited to take pictures with Santa. This year, Mrs. Patricia Beachy’s daughter, Jordan Dowd Beachy, brought her two little girls Cooper and Camryn. Jordan graduated from Linganore in 2007.
