2018 Linganore Boys’ Soccer seniors are ready for college

Seniors have only seven days of high school left, and the boys’ varsity soccer team is ready for summer. This team has remained dedicated and motivated during the last four years throughout their ups and downs. The team consists of eight members of the Class of 2018. Everyone pushed themselves to be better players throughout the season and their four years of high school, and all of these players were essential members of the team, often being the players who carried the team to victory.

Devin Barge will attend Mount Saint Mary’s University. Jack Watsic and Cameron White will attend Saint Mary’s College of Maryland. Caleb Needle will attend Bridgewater College. Lars Eklund will attend Purdue University. Josh Watson will attend University of Delaware, and Mason Barnhart and Charles Quansah will further their educations at Frederick Community College.

Jack Watsic, a member of the Class of 2018, says, “I’m going to miss being with my friends in high school and playing soccer and lacrosse for Linganore, but I’m also excited to play in college for Saint Mary’s. ”

White has had a very successful four years of high school, but is looking forward to moving on to college. He plans to major in English. For any underclassmen, White says, “Try your hardest to really get yourself out there and involved in as many things as possible. It really makes high school a more fun experience.”
