Kasal Smaha plans to study international relations or political science at Hood College next year.

Smaha want to work in the U.S. State Department as a civil servant. He plans to add foreign language study at Hood to help secure his future.

Kasal really likes the fact that the quad is beautiful, and the college is not bigger than it needs to be. “When you’re standing in the middle of it, it feels like you’re downtown, but you’re really not,” said Smaha.

He has participated in Model United Nations at Linganore and would like to continue this at Hood.

“It will be more fun with a bunch of adults than teenagers and see how they think differently than I do.”

Smaha is going to miss the building itself and his teachers. ” We take the building for granted every day, but it’s actually a pretty cool place to learn.”
