There will be a drop off for your old electronics until, March 21 at the front office before and after school. You can bring anything from small electronics, such as, laptops, keyboards, and cell phones to large electronics like printers, shredders, and desktop computers. Materials will be responsibly recycled by a small business in Frederick, Maryland. For more information, contact Natalie Rupinski.

Seniors! Summer internship opportunities are here. Students that have organized or participated in a school or community environmental project are encouraged to apply. Students with questions should stop by the Transition Office, room C103.

Juniors and seniors are now able to apply for the Johns Hopkins University Engineering Innovation summer program offered at Tuscarora High. Engineering Innovation runs June 29-July 24, The Application Fee will be 55 dollars and Tuition is 2,400 dollars. Financial assistance is available; so apply early.

The ASVAB test will be administered March 31st in the media center.  If you are interested in taking this test, please see Ms. Riley in Student Services to sign up.

Any students who have interest in attending one of the United States Service Academies will have an opportunity to meet with a current West Point Cadet. Please sign up with Mrs.Riley in student services.

Next month is National Poetry Month. The National English Honor Society is organizing poem readings on the morning announcements. If you have a favorite poem that is 20 lines or less, you can sign up outside of Mrs Rebestky’s room C203 and you’ll have the chance to read it on the announcements.This is an opportunity for members to get hours and there are 23 school days in April, so sign up soon!.

The LHS Marching Band is going to New York this weekend to participate in the St Patrick’s Day parade. If you see a member Wish them luck!

The Boys Varsity Basketball team will be playing in the state semi-final game against Westlake High School tomorrow at 3 PM. Tickets are 10 dollars. Any student interested in attending must fill out a permission slip to take the fan bus to the game. Students riding the bus will be dismissed at 1 o’clock on Thursday. Seats are first come first serve. Students must be in good academic standing to ride the bus.
