2014 will be the “Year of the Beatles” in the Linganore Band, according to a recent email announcement from band director Kevin Lloyd.
The decision was made to recognize the 50th anniversary of the group’s first performance in America in 1964. In celebration, the Symphonic Band will perform an arrangement of Beatles tunes from the Cirque du Soleil show, LOVE during the Spring concert. The Jazz ensemble will perform a selection of Beatles tunes in the Spring Concert, and the Fall marching band show will feature 100% Beatles music.
