On May 26th the Little Lancers graduated from preschool.

The child development students taught the Little Lancers every day during the week, except Wednesdays.  The Little Lancers have been part of the program since the beginning of the year.

The children’s families and the child development students were invited to the ceremony. The children dressed up in caps and gowns and walked across the stage along with the Little Lancers who still have another year left in the program.

Each Little lancer received a buddy book that the child development students made. The books are all about the individual student filled with different activities that they did throughout the year.

Seniors who had completed their 45 or 90 hours teaching in the program also went on stage and received certificates and roses.

The audience watched a PowerPoint with pictures from the children’s year in Little Lancers. After the ceremony, the families were invited back into the child development classroom for refreshments.

Child Development I student Ciara Figgers said, “ I had a great time getting to teach the Little Lancers and look forward to doing it again next year in Child Development II.”
