On May 18, senior Jeremiah Nixon signed his National Letter of Intent to to continue his athletic career in football at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania.
Nixon has played football all four years at Linganore High School (LHS) and has been an important part of the LHS team as an offensive tackle.
Nixon shared that he chose Grove City “primarily for the environment and for the football program.”
“Grove City prioritizes developing you as a whole person,” Nixon said. “
For Nixon, this is a priority to him and proved to him that Grove City was the college for him to attend.
LHS football coach Rick Conner describes Nixon as a selfless and hard working player. His strength and skill best shine through both in the weight room and on the field.
One of Nixon’s skills that best stood out to Coach Conner was his strength, it was seen through his efforts to help the team win in games and in the weight room during his training.
“He is one of the hardest working kids we have,” Conner said. “He, along with the other seniors, have left some big shoes to fill.”
It is clear that Nixon will leave Linganore as a legacy and bring amazing skill to Grove City.

Both Conner and Nixon’s family are extremely proud of his accomplishments and look forward to what Nixon’s future holds for him.
Nixon is described as the perfect player, someone who is able to manage his priorities and withstand pressure.
His mother, Kristina Nixon, explains how it has been such a blessing to watch him grow and mature into the player he has become. She believes his grinding work ethic has built him into the young man he is today.
“He learned how to push through and always give his best effort,” Nixon said.
With his family’s support Nixon was able to be his very best both in Academics and Athletics.
Jeremiah Nixon’s hard work and talent for football has paid off and will continue to shine through him as he plays for Grove City College.
