The Linganore Lancers have been dominating the field since the start of the 2024-2025 season, making their way through playoffs. They have gone the whole season undefeated including the game against the Westminster Senior Owls, the Lancers were able to grab their latest win on November 15 at home.
In under two minutes of the first quarter, junior Bradley Matthews (#3) scored the first touchdown as junior Ayden Marsh (#27) kicked the extra point.
The next touchdown was scored by quarterback Shawn Pelovitz (#14), who ran the play a couple minutes later, and junior Chase Perry (#2) scored the last touchdown of the first quarter to leave the score 21-0.
The Westminster Senior Owls were finally able to score in the second quarter, but the Lancers quickly followed with another touchdown. Matthews (#3) closed out the first half with another touchdown, leaving the Senior Owls even farther behind at 35-7.
As the second half opened, the Lancers and Senior Owls each scored another touchdown As the game proceeded into the fourth quarter, the Senior Owls grabbed their third touchdown, and theLancers responded. The final score of the game was 49-21, Lancers.
Junior Jeffrey Ray (#29) shared his thoughts on an undefeated season.
“It’s all thanks to the coaches,” Ray said. “Without them we wouldn’t have made it where we are.”
The Linganore Lancers have remained undefeated the entire season, making their goal of going back to States seem more likely.
Since the football season is coming to an end, sophomore Vaughn Williams (#48) said he’s, “ready for the season to be over”.
The Linganore Lancers will take on the Bel Air Bobcats on November 22 at Linganore High School (LHS).
