Love triangles usually include the main character in a show having two love interests at the same time. Within the two shows discussed, Little and Madariaga have their own opinions and express them on which couple is best. As both couples have two brothers involved, they ask the question– which brother is best?
The first show mentioned is The Vampire Diaries (TVD). This love triangle builds tension between the main character Elena and the two brothers, Damon and Stefan. Elena begins dating Stefan at the beginning of the season and sooner than later fosters an interest in Damon. Fans to this day still feud about which brother is best years after the show’s finale. Each brother shows their love for Elena in different ways, but which combination is better and healthier?
The second show mentioned is The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP), this love triangle involves main characters Isabel and the two brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah. This show is more recent and has created more controversy this year compared to TVD. A new season came out this past summer and fans are conflicted on which brother treats Isabel better.
