On October 5, students filed into the gymnasium for the annual homecoming pep rally. Lancer pride was displayed as athletics, teams, and classes were celebrated along with special performances by the school cheerleaders, pom and dance team, and band. The princes, princesses, and nominees for king and queen were introduced as well. The finale was the much-awaited announcement of which class won spirit week.

The marching band, conducted by Erika Katsumoto and Alex Ismael, started off playing the national anthem and school songs to rally the crowd.

Orchestrated by Mr. Jeremy Brown, each group of representatives of Linganore through extracurricular activities was celebrated as their teams and captains were publicized, followed by members standing up to be honored. In between these honoring performances by the pom and dance team along with the JV and Varsity cheerleaders wowed the crowd.

Next, the royalty of homecoming was introduced:

Class of 2022: Daniel Etherton  Lindsey Bruscia

Class of 2021: Sofia Toccalino Vincent Caraballo

Class of 2020: Harry Heitzig and Emily Webb

Class of 2019 Nominees for King and Queen: Dominic Barbagallo and Shay Arneson, Amanda Drake and Tre Briscoe, Alex Ismael and Caroline Etherton, Ryan Leyh and Lily Weaver, and Emily Wolfe and Jake Santis.

Ryan Leyh and Shay Arneson were announced as king and queen later that night at the homecoming football game.

Lastly, the winner of spirit week was announced. The senior class of 2019 won for a third consecutive year in a row.
