The annual LHS Plant Sale is open on May 5, 6 and 12, 13: Saturdays from 9am-1pm and Sundays 11am-3pm. Located in the greenhouse, there will be flowers, fruit, and vegetables.

The sale is run by Thomas Hawthorne, Patricia Beachy, and students in horticulture classes. Students work there to get real-world experience.  The student’s plant, water, tend and grow the plants in the sale.

Hawthorne said,  “Our goal is to have the most successful year yet.” The money will go to the agricultural program to help keep the horticulture class funded.

The advantage of purchasing the perennials is that they last the whole year and return the next.

At the plant sale, customers can buy annuals such as Angelonia, Coleus, Marigold, and many more.  Perennials include Bidens, Pentas, Salvia, and more. They also sell many herbs, vegetables, flower baskets, and patio pots.

The flowers looked beautiful and they are selling quickly so make sure to get to the sale as soon as possible!
