Oh, the places you’ll go: Sydney Rossman slips into Slippery Rock University
Sydney Rossman will slip into Slippery Rock University next year. She will be majoring in Recreational Therapy.
Before Rossman moves onto the next chapter in her life, she will be embarking on an European Viking River Cruise. The cruise will visit Amsterdam, Kinderdik, Cologne, Rudesheim, Koblenz, Heidelberg, Speyer, Strasbourg, Breisach, and Basel. “I have been overseas before and I love experiencing new cultures,” Rossman said.
She will also be participating in her last Howard County Fair. Rossman has participated for the past 12 years entering in 4-H specifically in HomeArts, where she often wins ribbons for sewing. “I am going to have a hard time saying goodbye since 4-H is like my second family,” she said.
During her time at Linganore, Rossman has been apart of unified sports, 4-H, journalism, National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, Harry Potter Alliance, and Key Club. She would like to thank Mrs. Natalie Rebetsky for helping her during her high school career.
“Through unified sports, I have met amazing people. Unified sports is the reason I chose my major because I love helping people,” said Rossman.
While at Slippery Rock, Rossman expects to encounter hard classes in college but plans to overcome them by studying and asking for help.
Lancer Media is covering where members of the Class of 2017 will be heading next year. This year’s theme is “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” If you would like to be featured, come to room C203 before May 15.
