Oh, the places you’ll go: Inés Garofolo follows the current to St. Mary’s College of Maryland
Inés Garofolo plans to attend St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She has not yet decided her major but dreams of studying abroad in Europe.
“I look forward to living by the water and seeing the sunset every night. I’m also excited to go to Italy with my soccer team in the summer of 2018,” she said.
Her future roommate is another girl on the LHS team, and some of her best memories have been with these players. In college, she plans to continue her athletic career.
She signed her letter of intent in early February.
“I’ve always loved playing soccer and it’s a good way to stay in shape,” said Garofolo.
During her time at LHS, she experienced some road blocks. “Some of my problems have been dealing with stress in regards to my classes and college decisions,” she said. Her advice for underclassmen was to “push through because everything will work itself out.”
She thanks her family for preparing her for her future studies. “They’ve always been my support group the whole way,” she said.
Garofolo looks forward to going to a liberal arts college. “I think it’ll be fun to meet new people with different stories,” Garofolo said.
