Oh, the places you’ll go: East Carolina University welcomes three scholars to their pirate crew
Ally Graziano, Miranda Keaton and Emily Nemeth will all be attending East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
All three girls feel that ECU is the right place for them because of the available opportunities, and it’s location.
“I’m excited to be going south for college. It’s always so nice and warm in Greenville,” said Keaton.
Nemeth agrees, “It has everything I want in a school, and it’s in a new place, so I’m excited to have the opportunity to meet tons of new people.”
The girls look forward to joining different clubs and sports teams. Keaton and Graziano both plan to continue their athletic careers by playing club sports. Keaton wants to participate in soccer, and Graziano plans to join club lacrosse.
They agreed that time management is bound to be a hard obstacle to overcome with all the activities they have planned.
Nemeth said, “I’m going to have to buckle down and prioritize my time more than I have in high school.”
“I expect to be really busy with school, work and extracurricular activities,” said Keaton.
They anticipate being far from home as well.
“I think it’ll be strange to be away from my family for so long,” said Keaton. “But I’m looking forward to meeting my roommate and, hopefully, making lifelong friends.”
“My mom and dad have definitely make me ready for my future. They pushed me to do my best and supported me with the school I chose,” said Nemeth.
Their favorite experiences at LHS included Mr. Linganore and the football season, but they look forward to summer plans.
“I’ve been waiting for senior week,” said Graziano. “I’m going on a cruise to Bermuda, and another separate trip to the Bahamas.”
Keaton agreed, “I’ve been waiting for the college experience and making new friends in college.”
