Oh, the places you’ll go: Alexa Needle flies with the seahawks at St. Mary’s College of Maryland
Alexa Needle plans to attend St. Mary’s College of Maryland and continue her swimming career.
“I’ve been a swimmer for 13 years, and I wasn’t ready to stop,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to meeting my new coach and teammates. My current coach and team are a huge part of my life now, so I know replacing them will be difficult,” Needle said.
She looks forward to many aspects in her future, including her summer plans, college location and future studies.
“This summer I’ll travel to Vermont for my family reunion,” said Needle. “I’m looking forward to waking up next to the beautiful river every morning.”
Needle’s future roommate is another swimmer and Oakdale senior, Sarah.
“I’m really excited to have someone from Frederick by my side.”
