Oh, the places you’ll go: Emily Daly fights for the crusaders at Madonna University
Emily Daly will be fighting on the Crusader’s side next year at Madonna University. Daly plans to major in hospitality and tourism management. While at Madonna, Daly will be a defender on their women’s lacrosse team.
Daly was offered the opportunity to play lacrosse when the coach saw her play at one of her club tournaments. “They have a fairly new program, but I hope to be able to improve my skills and the team as a whole,” said Daly.
Being a collegiate athlete is going to be difficult, but Daly is ready to tackle it head on. Throughout high school, Daly has learned that to be a student-athlete, she must be able to balance her school work, job, and social life. She plans to use the same techniques she learned in high school in college to be a well-rounded student.
Madonna University is 22.8 miles south of Windsor, Canada, and Daly plans to use this to her advantage. “While I’m at school, I hope that I will be able to explore Canada and become a more cultured individual,” said Daly.
Throughout her high school career, Daly has hit many bumps in the road, but she is thankful for her brother and sister who has gotten her to the place she is today and for getting her ready for college.
