Senior students in EDD gather around white board to celebrate last 17 days of their school year.

With 17 days left before senior year comes to an end, everyone in the class of 2017 is anticipating packing their bags and heading out for their next destination:  senior week, career, a new apartment, or college.  Working all semester on new inventions or innovations senior class EDD students, from Project Lead the Way, are now preparing to meet big corporatons head on.  This is their chance to show their new ideas in hopes that one of them will be chosen to be manufactured and mass produced.

“The hardest part of EDD is coming up with a good idea that we can really develop and market,” said Eva Rowan.  Evan will  attend Virginia Tech in the fall.

Other seniors in EDD are Ryan Jongezon attending York College of PA, Tristen Reeley, Thad Engel, and Colby Dray attending FCC, Antonio Focco attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Ethan Riegel attending Virginia Tech, Devin Stouffer and Tyson Tregoning attending University of Maryland College Park, Dalton Mongue attending University of Maryland Baltimore County, Jadyn Eakins attending University of Utah, and lastly Michael Rajnik attending Elizabethtown College.

“I will miss seeing my friends, because I know once I go to college I will lose connection with a lot of them,” said Miranda Timberlake. She will be attending Nazareth College.

Who knows whether these innovative thinkers will chose to become engineers as they start the next chapter of their lives? The memories they share from their freshman year to now are memories they can hold on to when walking out into the business world.  They worked hard to be where they are so good luck and enjoy your last days of high school!
