LHSsees2020: Matt Watson counts down his day to University of Maryland
Matt Watson is counting down his days before he can major in mathematics at University of Maryland Honors college.
As a varsity soccer player, Watson is ready to go to the UMD games and, possibly, even play in some club soccer, too. He adds, “I want to try out out some different intramural sports, like volleyball.”
He is ready for his Terrapin experience attending football and basketball games. Maryland is known for its basketball team as last year they went 27-9. For the next four years, Watson will have the ability to see Maryland’s basketball team take over the nation.
As the president of the SGA, it is easy to see why Watson doesn’t want to leave so soon.
“My really close friends are going to different schools, but I’ll make more,” he said.
Choosing the University of Maryland was not a difficult decision for Watson. “It’s literally the greatest school in the world so it was an easy decision.”
