LHSsees2020: Kayla Sheehy graduates from ‘Lancer Pride’ to ‘Maryland Pride’

“There was no decision to be made. I’ve wanted to go to Maryland my entire life.”

This August, Kayla Sheehy will start the chapter of her life that she has been dreaming of since she could yell “Go Terps!” After growing up at University of Maryland tailgates and attending various sporting events, Sheehy knew Maryland was the school of her dreams.

Planning to major in computer science and possibly minoring in neuroscience, Sheehy is also hoping to get involved in various activities on campus such as clubs and Greek life.

“I’m really excited to rush a sorority so I can meet people with similar interests as me and have life long friendships.”

Happy to be attending UMD next year with other future and current Linganore Alumni, Sheehy can’t wait to be on campus with all her new classmates in College Park.

“My favorite thing about UMD is all the Maryland pride the students and faculty have. Everyone on campus is so proud to be there.”
